About Dr. Matt Rensi
I received my Master’s in Counseling in 2016, and a Ph. D. in Counselor Education and Supervision in 2021. I’ve been actively providing therapy and counseling since 2016.
I have extensive experience working with adults and teens in a variety of settings. I’ve worked with people struggling with trauma, ADHD, parenting issues, couples issues, substance use, anxiety and depression.
I also personally believe that it is hard to lead someone down a path that I have not walked myself. Thus, in my own personal therapy I’ve walked through many of the dark parts of my soul, and I don’t ask my clients to do anything that I personally would not do myself.
My current hobbies are running (usually just a morning run to keep my equilibrium), reading (mostly sci-fi and fantasy, and mostly audiobooks - I know, it’s not really reading), and then activities with my wife and kids - our kiddos all do baseball, soccer and hapkido, as a whole family we do Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.
